Because landlords want to rent their apartment to secured tenants, they ask a guarantor if the renter:
- Is a student.
- Is not a French citizen.
- Has no revenues in France.

- Has a limited-period contract or unstable revenues.
- Earns less than 3 times the rent.

I - To agents or landlords via email 📧:
Email is good for landlords and agents to store your information, but you remember that they receive hundreds of emails every day, so don't hesitate to pick up the phone 📞.
II - To agents or landlords in a printed version during an apartment visit 📄:
The decision of the landlord is often taken during the visit when they meet you. Use this moment as best you can and show the landlord your motivation to get the apartment by bringing your complete file, including the Certificate of Eligibility to the guarantee in a printed version.
III - On housing marketplaces 🖥:
Option 1: Their form offers the possibility to choose a company as a guarantor 😊.
You should use this option, declare "Garantme" as your guarantor, and upload your Garantme Certificate.
Option 2: Their form only offers the possibility to have a physical guarantor 😌.
Most often, online forms are adapted for renters who have a physical guarantor because it is the norm in France. Even some partners don't have an adapted online form...
But there is good news 😇: you can still use it in this case. Below are our tips to adapt your application to their form.
1) They will ask for various information about your guarantor. Here is how to give them:

For any other information that they ask for, you can randomly fill it in. There is no automatic analysis, they always look at information and will expect your Certificate of Eligibility to the Guarantee to be shared.
2) They will ask for various documents:
If documents are compulsory, you should upload that to your parents in addition. You can add the Certificate of Eligibility to the guarantee of your guarantor's proof of revenues.
If documents are not compulsory, you can share your Certificate of Eligibility with the Guarantee instead.

Does Garantme take care of the deposit ?

How does it work?
Everything is done online in 5 easy steps
The process is easy:
- In only 5 minutes, you fill in our application form and upload the necessary documents.
- Within the day, we review your application and give you a Garantme Certificate to reassure your landlord during your search. It will enhance your selection chances and reduce your search time.
- We can assist you during the search if your landlord has questions about the Garantme Guarantee.
- Once you found your apartment, you will just pay our premium and sign our agreement.
- We issue the Garantme Guarantee for you and send it to your landlord via email.
How do I cancel my guarantee renewal?
On the expiry date of your lease, if you do not want to renew your guarantee, simply send us a document certifying that you are leaving your accommodation.
If you do not want to renew your guarantee, you must inform us.
Without any return from you, the renewal of your guarantee and the payment will be made automatically.
There are three options for canceling your contract:
1- If you intend to stay in the accommodation, we need a guarantee waiver certificate drawn up and sent by your landlord to support@garantme.fr.
* As a reminder, a tenant who wants to leave the accommodation must send his notice of departure to his landlord, by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, 30 days before the desired departure (30 days if the rental is empty and in a non-tended area).
2- If you have already left the apartment, you must send us the inventory of fixtures at support@garantme.fr.
